Brake Disc Automatic Production Line Boosts Precision and Efficiency in Modern Manufacturing

Update Time  2025-11-19 17:52 Read

The Brake Disc Automatic Production Line showcased by Hengga CNC represents a complete integration of machining, inspection, and marking processes specifically tailored for brake disc manufacturing. This system is the result of extensive market research, analysis of production needs, and the combination of domestic and international advanced technologies.

Brake Disc Automatic Production Line

In the assembly line configuration, the process begins with a manipulator automatically picking up a brake disc blank from a designated material rack and loading it onto the OP10 double-station vertical lathe. This CNC machine executes both rough and fine turning on one side of the disc. After machining, the manipulator unloads, flips, and transfers the disc to OP20, a second vertical lathe, to complete rough and fine turning on the opposite face. These two stations guarantee precision on both sides before subsequent operations.

Once double-surface turning is finished, the manipulator delivers the disc to the OP30 CNC Drilling and Tapping Center. This station handles fast, accurate drilling, tapping, and groove milling with high rigidity and stability. Immediately after, the part moves to OP40 - the Brake Disc Turning and Grinding Machine - which performs final precision grinding. This machine integrates turning and grinding into one clamping sequence, ensuring optimal surface finish and dimensional accuracy.

The workflow doesn't stop at machining. After grinding, the manipulator transfers the disc to a dynamic balancing machine to test rotational stability. Qualified discs advance to a pneumatic or laser marking station, where identification data is engraved. The finished components then move to a final unloading roller table, ready for manual collection. This sequence ensures every part meets strict quality and traceability requirements.

Key hardware includes the LYV-SD500 Double Station Brake Disc CNC Vertical Lathe, capable of independent or synchronous turret operation for integrated rough and fine machining. Its heavy-duty guide rails, independent spindle design, and multi-level protective covers increase stability and durability. The LV850 CNC Drilling and Tapping Center offers rapid tool changes and cost-effective versatility. Meanwhile, the LYV-L450 Brake Disc Turning and Grinding Machine combines multiple finishing processes, minimizing part handling and reducing cycle time.

Brake Disc Automatic Production Line

Automation is central to the Brake Disc Automatic Production Line. Dual six-axis manipulators with a 150 kg payload manage loading, flipping, and positioning with high repeatability. Roller conveyors link each station, facilitating smooth part flow and minimizing manual labor. This design suits varied production requirements, from small-batch customization to high-volume manufacturing.

By integrating machining, inspection, and marking in one continuous system, the Brake Disc Automatic Production Line improves efficiency, reduces setup time, and enhances precision. It gives manufacturers a scalable, future-ready solution for producing brake discs that meet the highest industry standards.
